Olympus Automation will be showcasing its End of Line Solutions technology in Hall 5, Stand No T013 at Foodex, NEC, Birmingham from 21 to 24 March.

Visitors will be able to see a demonstration of an End of Line system, which will  feature the QX Hawk, the world’s first imager with fully integrated liquid lens technology. The wide angle lens of the QX Hawk allows close-up monitoring of product and a larger field of view enables far greater accuracy and reduces unnecessary line stoppages by packaging that is correct, but slightly out of position on the conveyor.

Olympus End of Line Solutions ensure that product packaging information and coding is correct on all products leaving the factory. It eliminates costly product withdrawals that can be caused by incorrect date, label information and packaging.

From a master database of products profiles, online scanners and verifiers provide real-time data and will stop the line if anything is wrong. The line can only be re-started when the problem has been resolved.
